A year ago, Board of Innovation (BOI) decided to launch AUTONOMOUS, the world’s largest virtual summit for AI innovators. Signe Damgaard, Head of Marketing, knew that to pull it off, they needed to find a platform they could trust with not only streaming the content, but representing their brand’s look and feel to thousands. Goldcast not only helped them pull it off, but enabled them to repurpose event content across their YouTube channel to expand impact and reach.
As an innovative AI consultancy, Board of Innovation knows it needs to stay on the cutting edge of technology. When they decided to host their first large-scale virtual summit, AUTONOMOUS, their approach to selecting the technology was no different: They needed something fresh, modern, and engaging.
“We wanted the speakers and the attendants to have a smooth experience where it didn't feel like sitting on a Zoom call or Google Meet call,” Signe remarked. Their vision for the event included multiple tracks, more than 50 speakers, and thousands of attendees.

Signe narrowed the vendor search down to two, and when comparing Goldcast’s features and functionality to the list above, there were zero doubts that it was the best virtual event platform for their summit.
Hosting a live virtual summit with more than 10,000 attendees can bring forth a lot of stress. With multiple tracks, speakers, and sessions, a lot can go wrong. Yet Signe was put at ease because, “Goldcast is a pretty all-in solution where we are sure that the tech works as we want without delay or any problems.” What sold Signe was Goldcast’s speaker and attendee experience mixed with quick product onboarding and strong support:
One other thing that closed the deal was Goldcast’s smart pricing structure. “The other competitor had a tiered pricing model where it charged more for the more attendance, and that was just going to be very expensive for us because we were hosting 10,000 people,” explained Signe. “And we frankly didn't wanna be limited by that. We wanted to have it uncapped and at a transparent pricing that we could put into our budgets.”
When Signe began building the virtual summit, Goldcast’s interface really stood out to her. “I think the most beneficial thing is that it's a super smooth interface both for the users, for the back end people, and also for the registrants and the speakers,” she shared. “So it's a pretty smooth platform all around.”
For their 50+ speakers, the enhanced backstage controls made it easy for speakers to prepare before going live. For their 10,000+ attendees, magic links made the event entrance quick and easy while the automated tracks made navigating the event a breeze.
“Since we did that first summit, we've had a lot of good feedback on the platform and how it looks and feels, and people really love it,” shared Signe.
One other way Goldcast stood out to Signe as a virtual event and webinar platform is its features for on-demand and repurposing. Signe saw great value in Goldcast’s Content Lab repurposing tool, which allows her to quickly snip videos from the summit to repurpose across social media and blogs.
Their summit offers around 40 sessions and ends up being a great lead generation driver throughout the year. Because of this, the on-demand experience must deliver just as strong of an experience as the live event. “I think the fact that it mirrors the setup of the actual events makes it feel more of an exciting event,” she explained.

Since the first summit, BOI has begun to use Goldcast across all of their webinar programming as well. The team runs around two webinars per month now using the Goldcast platform. This webinar content is then used to fuel their YouTube SEO strategy.
Thanks to Goldcast, BOI is seeing an average attendance rate of 45% across their webinars. They’ve also been able to steadily grow their YouTube channel to 6K followers, thanks in part to the hours of video content they’re able to repurpose from their summits and webinars.

Thanks to Goldcast’s excellent recording quality, BOI has also decided to upload all of their webinars onto their YouTube channel as well. The titles and descriptions are SEO-optimized, and once published generate an average of 300 views within the first month.
